Our service begins with a commitment to people. An in-house recruitment staff experienced in finding intelligent, capable and talented individuals actively seeks high-caliber individuals who are able to meet rigid employee standards much higher than the industry norm. An active employee referral program supplements the recruitment of high quality personnel with excellent experience and credentials.

Potential employees undergo a lengthy interview process and an extensive background and personal history investigation to include determining if the applicant has a history of convictions or drug abuse. Potential employees must also successfully complete a Panel I, II, III, and IV pre-employment drug screen. This unusually in-depth selection process assures individuals chosen for employment have superior credentials and are of the highest integrity. All Digby employees are evaluated on a continual basis in the areas of professional demeanor, dependability, quality of work, job knowledge, cooperation and judgment. Well-chosen, well-trained Digby's employees are the most valuable assets the corporation has.

All officers hired must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be certified in the State of Illinois as evidenced by providing a copy of their 20 and/or 40 hour training certificate by a State of Illinois certified training facility
  • Provide a valid State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Undergo a complete criminal background check
  • Successfully pass a comprehensive Panel I through IV drug test
  • Possess a valid Firearms Owner Identification Card (FOID), if applicable
  • Pass a State of Illinois and Federal fingerprint background screening test
  • Qualify for an Agency Firearm Authorization Card (FAC), if applying for an Armed position
